My Biography
Ben Holtsbaum
Sydney Chiropractic Clinics
Managing Director
My qualifications were obtained from Macquarie University and I graduated with a Masters degree in 1999.
To begin this journey of health care I began a Science degree at Macquarie University in 1993. The course detailed majors in Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathology.
In addition to the science program were seven compulsary prerequisit courses involving the philosophy and basic Chiropractic therapy techniques.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in June 1996.
I returned to Macquarie University in 1998 and studied full time in the Master of Chiropractic degree.
The course involved majors in Neurology, Chiropractic technical skills, radiology, orthopeadics, rehabilitation and clinical internship during which we were required to treat at least 250 public patients.
My clinical training was provided at the university outpatient clinic located at Summerhill. Currently the university has outpatients clinics at Summerhill, Eastwood, Epping and on Campus.
At these clinics public patients may receive treatment by the 5th/final year Master students for a reduced fee. These sessions are strictly supervised by private practice and university doctors.
Having received cutting edge training techniques I then had the confidence to move straight into private practice in March 2000.
Over the years I have worked in Medical Centres educating both our patients and GP's about the benefits of chiropractic.
I have also been employed with MacQuarie University since 2008, supervising chiropractic students in the university clinics.
"Sydney Chiropractic Clinics" is now expanding health awareness to the larger Australian community through the internet portal.
